He has won a number of national farming awards and was a member of the National Council of Macra na Feirme for three years and was on the Regional Committee of Dairygold Co-op. His study topic was ‘Expanding a Business from a Dairy Farmers Perspective’. He travelled to the USA, Germany, UK, South Africa and Australia to conduct his study.
