Biography
Lance Woods is a 2022 Nuffield Scholar from Cootehill, Co Cavan. Lance’s Nuffield research topic is “How can Animal Health positively impact our climate change targets” Lance will investigate the role of animal health in achieving our environmental goals. Lance’s primary objectives for his study; How do we reduce emissions through animal health and how to change behaviour/habits/mindset at farm level- what motivates this change? Lance will investigate efficient farming relating to animal health practices, preventative animal health strategies and animal health ag tech. Lance intends to travel to Israel, Netherlands, Canada and the UK during the course of his Nuffield Scholarship.
